Sabati places third in the USEF/Markel National
Championship
Sabati (Sandro Hit/Rubinstein) and his rider Ulla Petersen had a
fantastic show at Dressage at Lamplight. They placed third in the
Four Year Old Class with a 83.8 %! Sabati was also awarded for being
the highest scoring US bred horse in the Class. The competition was
amazing so we are thrilled with the placing of our two full
brothers Sabati and Steinway.
For those looking to purchase a top horse for the future, Sabati is
offered for sale.
Steinway takes fifth place in USEF/Markel
Nation Young Horse Championships
Congratulations to Ulla Petersen and our Five year old Sandro
Hit/Rubinstein gelding Steinway on a fantastic showing at the
National Championships! It was a two days show with the first day
counting for 40 % of total and the
second day 60%.
Day one Steinway placed fourth in the Five year old
preliminary class with a score of 78.4. In the final class, Steinway
was very tired but managed to place fifth with a score of 75%.
The combined scores were good enough for fifth place overall!

Off to the Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championships
Our four and five year old full brothers Sabati and Steinway leave
tomorrow for the trip to Wayne, Illinois for the Championships at
Dressage at Lamplight. Competition starts on Friday so I will
post results then.
Thought it would be fun to post a photo of Steinway at his GOV
Inspection 2004. He was the top foal that day and the judge
commented he looked like he might be good enough for the "Big Ring"
one day. That is a few years down the road, but Steinway is on the
right track!

GOV Inspection 2009
Champion Colt and Stallion Prospect.
"Quote Un Quote' by Quaterback out of Special Premium mare Florenzio(Florencio/Lady's
King)
The dam Florenzio was the top mare in the GOV MPT in 2008.
Quintessa
Premium Quaterback/Londonderry filly.
This filly due to bladder surgery was supposed to have her first day
out in a large area on the 8th of August. She moved like a little
ballerina though, andI know her movement will just get better now
that she can be turned out on a regular basis. This filly has the
most charming personality I have ever seen in a foal. Super curious
and does not miss a thing going on! She is a keeper for the farm.
Quinlan
Quaterback/Harvard/Akzent II colt that
was also awarded a premium at the inspection. He was purchased in-utero
and I think his new owner is very pleased with him. He is going to
make an excellent riding horse.

Quaterback/Londonderry Filly
We are calling this beautiful filly Quintessa. She had quite a
rough start in life, but is doing beautifully now. She is now
allowed to be turned out in a small paddock. She is a bit confused
about the space, but she will learn!
You can see her real dam, Lowara pictured below.
June 2009
Lowara(Londonderry/Weltmeyer)
This is Lowara warming up for her classes at Morven Park a few
weeks back. It was her first show of the year and she was a
star!Lowara won both her Open Training Level Class with a 76.9 % and
her Open First Level Classes with score of 76 %
Not to be out done, Steinway and Sabati also put in great
performances. Steinway won the FEI Five Year Old Class on Saturday
with a score of 86.8 %. And on Sunday, placed third in the same
Qualifier Class with a 81.6 %.
Sabati competed in the Four Year Old Class placing second on
Saturday with a score of 86 %. On Sunday in the Qualifier he was a
bit unfocused in his test, but was able to score a respectable 79.6
%.
Right now, both are qualified for the national Championships in
Wayne, Illinois.

Licotus/Landadel Filly
This is our two year old Licotus/Landadel filly Marmara.
She is a good 16.3 but very balanced and proportional. Her movement
is exceptional. I can't wait to get her under saddle next
year!

Fackeltanz Colt Two Months
This is a photo of Ferrante (Fackeltanz/Licotus/Quo Vadis)
at age two months. He is a super moving colt and we are thrilled
with him. He is offered for sale. Both Ferrante and Wynterthur (pictured
below) should make amazing mounts for the Dressage arena! Both
have excellent walks too!
June 9, 2009
Wynton Colt
Age Three months
Wynterthur is a beautiful type with three expressive gaits.
He has a super hind leg and is an incredibly athletic colt. I think
he should end up about 16.2 - 16.3 and is going to be a beautiful
liver chestnut when he finishes shedding. He is a super sport horse
prospect and is offered for sale.
May 19, 2009
Sabati
Sabati continues to develop beautifully. He has started to
really fill out and put on muscle in the last few weeks. He
continues to be a joy to train. Sabati will attend his second show
the first weekend in June and hopefully score well in the FEI Four
Year Old Test again. We are looking forward to taking both Sabati
and Steinway to The Markel Young Young Championships in August.
I took new video of Wally last weekend. This is a extremely
athletic colt with a very fancy trot. He is shedding out to be
liver chestnut. Offered for sale before inspection at 14,000
dollars.
From left to right:
Brunotte (Florencio/Feiner Stern)
Lalique (Stedinger/Donnerhall)
Marmara (Licotus/Landadel)
Laureanna (Samarant/Donnerhall)
I adore these girls and can't wait to get them started next year.
They are all beautiful types: modern warmbloods that are elegant,
have good bone, great minds and fancy gaits!

Quinlan
Can you guess this colt's sire ? My
wonderful producer Brianna(Harvard/Akzent II) has hit a home run
with this colt! I have seen quite a few Quaterback foals but don't
think I have seen one that resembles his sire as much as Quinlan.
We are expecting two more foals by Quaterback the end of May. This
one is already spoken for.
Please welcome Ferrante,
pictured here at five days
of age. He is by Fackeltanz(Florencio/Feinbrand) out of our Licotus
mare Aussprache. Aussprache was one of two mares to be awarded the title
of Special Premium this year at her GOV MPT.
This colt is more than I could have wished for. I am
blown away by his quality and composure.
Our four year old Sandro
Hit/Rubinstein gelding Sabati attended his first horse show last weekend
and he was a star. What a brave and talented boy. Sabati competed in
the FEI Four Year Old Test scoring a 7.8. This put him in a four way
tie for second place with his brother Steinway. Sabati is one
to watch!
Sabati is for sale now priced at 60,000 Dollars.
Photo below of the brothers having some down time after their show.

Wyeth Under Saddle
This is Wyeth, a four year old
Worldly/Espri/Lemon xx gelding. He has been under saddle now for the
past month and is learning very quickly. He has great natural
balance and power. His trot is going to be exceptional and the
canter is already big and well balanced. He currently stands 16.1
but expect him to end up about 16.2. Wyeth will continue in full
training until sold. He currently offered for 30,000 dollars. Price
will increase with training.

LA VIOLETTA
2008 Hofrat/Donnerhall Filly
for sale.

SOLAR ECLIPSE
This is our Sir
Donnerhall/Espri Filly at 4 1/2 months. This is photo in the
field, mid-day. She continues to have three excellent gaits. I still
can not say which gait is her best .....she excels in all three. She
has super conformation and a lovely temperament. This filly has a
" big ring' look about her.
The cross will be a definite repeat.

FIDERLINE
Fiderline(Fidertanz/Harvard) had a
very successful show at Devon. Looking back on the photos from last
year at Devon, I can't believe how much she has matured! She is
really starting to look like a Fidertanz clone.
Fiderline placed fourth in the GAIG Filly Championship, behind her
pasture mate Marmara(Licotus/Landadel). I do not have photos of
Marmara because I was busy trying to get her moving in the ring!
She is one laid back yearling and a good thing at 16.0 hands
already.
We only entered one show this year and both girls qualified for the
Championship class, so I was very pleased.

LOWARA AT DEVON
This is our
Londonderry/Weltmeyer mare Lowara schooling at Devon. Lowara won her
very large Materiale Classwith a score 0f 82.+! She also placed
third in the Hanoverian IBC Class Three and older.
Lowara participated in the Johannes
Westendarp clinic held
before the GOV Show and MPT are High Point.(Video on the youtube link below.)
This clinic footage is nice, but no
where near the show Lowara put on at Devon!

STEINWAY AT DEVON
Steinway(Sandro Hit/Rubinstein) had a
super showing at his first competition at Devon. He competed in the
FEI Four Year Old Test placing second Thursday and fourth on Friday
. His combined total score for the two days placed Steinway second
overall. Steinway loved the excitement and showed like an old pro.
We could not be happier with how Steinway is developing.
Below is video I shot at the GOV clinic with Johannes Westendarp.
What a super clinic and opportunity to learn from such an excellent
instructor.

FLORENZIO
CHAMPION MARE AT GOV MARE PERFOMANCE TEST
This is our three year old
Florencio/Lady's King mare Flossie with her rider/trainer Ulla
Petersen. This is a photo from the GOV Mare Performance test at
High Point Hanoverians.
Flossie was the overall high scoring mare of the day with a 7.7. She
received a 7.5 walk. 7.5 trot. 8.0 canter 7.5 Free jump and an 8.5
from the test rider. Flossie was also awarded the title of Special
Premium mare.
Flossie is in foal to Quaterback for a May 2009 foal.
AUSSPRACHE
This three year old mare by
Licotus out of an SPS Quo Vadis/Furioso dam was also awarded the
title of Special Premium at the GOV MPT. Apple
finished with an overall score of 7.5.
Apple is in foal to the Stallion Fackeltanz
(Florencio/Feinbrand)
for a March 2009 foal.
Link
below will provide information on the stallion Fackeltanz.

GOV INSPECTION 2008
We had a super Inspection on July
11th. Many thanks to Holly Simensen, Uli Henschke and Tobias Hanke !
This three week old bay filly was the star of the show. We have
named her Solar Eclipse and she is by Sir Donnerhall out of Eclipse
(Espri/Lemon xx/Trapper) Click on the link below to see photos of
the other foals and the three mares presented .
Thanks to Shari Glickman for her help with the photography. Also
thanks to Dennis Moore, who took video footage for me. I have to
transfer the tape and edit it, but should have that done in the next
few days.

LORD
SINCALIR/HARVARD FILLY
This is Bijoux, our 2 1/2
month old Lord Sinclair/Harvard filly. She is a very good mover,
one that sits and trots instinctively. And she is the sweetest,
easy to handle foal you could imagine. I had always heard great
things about the temperaments of the Lord Sinclair's, and this filly
confirms those reports. She is offered for sale and will be a super
flashy, uncomlicated ladies horse.
Should mature about 16. 1 1/2 16.2.
July 4, 2008
HOFRAT/DONNERHALL
FILLY
This is La Violetta at three
months of age. We are very pleased with both our Hofrat/Donnerhall
crosses this year. This filly is a very nice mover, well put
together, with super amateur friendly temperament. She already looks
like an upper level prospect.
June 13, 2008
LAST FOAL FOAL
OF THE YEAR Please
welcome out FIFTH filly of the year! The only colt this year was a
Rohdiamont bred in Germany and imported in-utero.
This leggy beauty is by Sir Donnerhall out of our Espri/Lemon
xx/Trapper mare Eclipse. This filly has exceeded all my
expectations from this cross. Eclipse is a powerful mover, but needs
a stallion to add some refinement and length of leg.....well this
filly has that plus some. Now all we need is a name!
June 12, 2008
ROHDIAMONT COLT
This is
our very handsome Rohdiamont colt at 10 weeks. He is handsome and a
very good mover...quite the package.
June 9, 2008
HOFRAT/DONNERHALL FILLY #2
This is our second
Hofrat/Donnerhall filly pictured at three weeks old. She is very
much like the first(ET) filly but more refined and a little hotter!
She is quite the acrobat, very curious and sensitive. Her full
sister is totally uncomplicated and very laid back. It is fun to
have full siblings of the same sex three weeks apart. There are as
many similarities as there are differences.
June 1, 2008
LOWARA AT
RAELIGH
Raleigh was Lowara's first
Horse Show and what a show she had. Lowara(Londonderry/Weltmeyer)
won her Material Class with a score of 81%. She was incredibly cool
about the whole showing "thing". Raleigh was probably not the best
place to take a horse that had never been to a show before, but she
handled the situation extremely well and we are so proud of her and
her talented rider Ulla Petersen. These two will be a pair to be
reckoned with in the future.
April 12, 2008
STEINWAY MORVEN
PARK
Steinway(Sandro
Hit/Rubinstein) competed in the Four Year Old FEI Class at Morven
Park this weekend earning a 8.2 in his Preliminary Class and an 7.52
in the Final. This score ranks Steinway 6th in the US for 2008. This
was Steinway first show under saddle and we were thrilled with his
performance.
March 5, 2008
LOWARA
Lowara went to her first clinic last
week and she was super. She will be one of the demonstration horses
for the Region I meeting at River's Edge Farm on March 15, 2008.
March 4, 2008
DE LOVELY
We are thrilled to now have
our Brilliant Ring SPA Dormello/Rubinstein/Grundstein II mare in the
US!
De Lovely has been in training in Germany for the last two years
with Grand Prix rider Peter Martins. She will continue her under
saddle career here in the US with our rider Ulla Petersen. De
Lovely will be my riding horse. I may try an ET with her next month
but am having a difficult time deciding on a stallion. Right now I
am thinking of using the Jazz son Wynton(Jazz/Matador
II/Rubinstein).
February 20, 2008
STEINWAY
Our coming four year old
Sandro Hit/Rubinstein gelding preparing for his first show in April.
Steinway will compete in the FEI Four Year Old Classes this year
with his trainer Ulla Petersen. They both have very big plans, so we
wish them well!
February 2008
FLOSSIE UNDER
SADDLE
This is
our coming three year old (Florencio/Lady's King/Thymian xx) mare.
And this is her second day in the riding arena and first canter
under saddle. Flossie has been super to start and has three
extravagant gaits. I think I will let her pursue a riding career for
now, though it is so tempting to breed her. She is very closely
related to Fackeltanz
(Florencio/Feinbrand/Thymian xx) who was the third placed stallion
in the Oldenburg Licensing this year.
September 2007
SABATI
Our two year old Sandro
Hit/Rubinstein gelding. Sabati is full brother to Steinway. We have
equally high hopes for this wonderful boy.
March 2007
SOPHIE
This is my
daughter's mare Sophie. She is an Anglo/Trakehner mare by the lovely
stallion Herzzauber. Sophie will join the broodmare band this
year. She is a very good mover in all three gaits, and has
been so much fun to ride. Her bloodlines and beautiful type will
provide us with many breeding options in the years to come.
STEDINGER/DONNERHALL FILLLY
This is
Lalique. She is an ET filly out of La Donnarina. She has three
awesome gaits, and is friendly and brave. She is a keeper for the
farm.
September 2007
FIDERLINE
This gorgeous
filly will also be an addition to the broodmare band. She is by the
stallion Fidertanz(Fidermark/Ravallo) out of SPS Harvard/Grundstein
II dam
Septemebr 2006
LOWARA AT
DEVON
Lowara had a
super three days at Devon last week. She was 7th in her Three Year
Old Fillies class, and won the Hanoverian IBC Class for Three Year
Olds an Over with a score of 84.4 % !
Lowara is in
foal to Rotspon for an early March 2007 foal. She will be put under
saddle after the weaning, and hopefully will be back at Devon in the
riding horse classes in 2007.
Three
month old filly by Samarant out of Eclipse(
Espri/Lemmon xx/Trapper). You could not have asked for a
prettier filly. She has three nice gaits, and was commented on
at her AHS inspection, as " moving like a dancer". Saatchi
has her dam's powerful hind leg, which gives good suspension to her
gaits.
