SOLAR ECLIPSE
This is our Sir Donnerhall/Espri Filly at 4 1/2
months. I took this photo in the field, mid-day. She continues to
have three excellent gaits. I still can not say which gait is her
best .....she excels in all three. She has super conformation and a
lovely temperament. This filly has that " big ring' look about her.
The cross will be a definite repeat. |

FIDERLINE
Fiderline(Fidertanz/Harvard) had a very successful show at
Devon. Looking back on the photos from last year at Devon, I can't
believe how much she has matured! She is really starting to look
like a Fidertanz clone.
Fiderline placed fourth in the GAIG Filly Championship, behind her
pasture mate Marmara(Licotus/Landadel). I do not have photos of
Marmara because I was busy trying to get her moving in the
ring! She is one laid back yearling and a good thing at 16.0 hands
already.
Anyway, we only entered one show this year and both girls qualified for
the Championship class, so I was very pleased.

LOWARA AT DEVON
This is our Londonderry/Weltmeyer mare Lowara
schooling at Devon. Lowara won her very large Materiale Class
with a score 0f 82.+! She also placed
third in the Hanoverian IBC Class Three and older.
Lowara participated in the Johannes Westendarp clinic
held before the GOV Show and MPT are High Point.
(Video on the youtube link below.)
This clinic footage is nice, but no where near the show
Lowara put on at Devon!

STEINWAY AT DEVON
Steinway(Sandro Hit/Rubinstein) had a super showing at his
first competition at Devon. He competed in the FEI Four Year Old
Test placing second Thursday and fourth on Friday . His combined
total score for the two days placed Steinway second overall.
Steinway loved the excitement and showed like an old
pro. We could not be happier with how Steinway is developing.
Below is video I shot at the GOV clinic with Johannes Westendarp.
What a super clinic and opportunity to learn from such an excellent
instructor.

FLORENZIO CHAMPION MARE AT GOV MARE

This is our three year old Florencio/Lady's King
mare Flossie with her rider/trainer Ulla Petersen. This is a photo
from the GOV Mare Performance test at High Point Hanoverians.
Flossie was the overall high scoring mare of the day with a 7.7. She
received a 7.5 walk. 7.5 trot. 8.0 canter 7.5 Free jump and an 8.5
from the test rider. Flossie was also awarded the title of Special

AUSSPRACHE
This three year old mare by Licotus out of an SPS Quo
Vadis/Furioso dam was also awarded the title of Special Premium at
the GOV MPT. Apple finished with an overall score
of 7.5.
Apple is in foal the the Stallion Fackeltanz for a March 2009 foal.

SAFIRE
Safire also competed in the MPT at High Point Hanoverians.
Safire scored an overall total of 7.5 points and was awarded the
title of Verband Premium mare.
Safire competed at Devon later in the week placing fifth on Friday
in the FEI Five Year Old Test. The Dixon Oval was a pretty scary
place on Friday with storms rolling in, but though nervous, Safire
did a super job!

SABATI
This is Sabati, our three year old Sandro
Hi/Rubinstein gelding. He has been under saddle now for just four
weeks and is a real star. He is sensible and seems to really enjoy
his work. Sabati a lovely mover and a extremely handsome horse. We
have kept his full brother Steinway to bring up the levels, so
Sabati is offered for sale. I doubt he will be with us for very long
though. I will make a sales page for him shortly.

GOV INSPECTION 2008
We had a super Inspection on July 11th. Many thanks to
Holly Simensen, Uli Henschke and Tobias Hanke !
This three week old bay filly was the star of
the show. We have named her Solar Eclipse and she is by Sir
Donnerhall out of Eclipse (Espri/Lemon xx/Trapper) Click on the link
below to see photos of the other foals and the three mares presented
.
Thanks to Shari Glickman for her help with the photography. Also
thanks to Dennis Moore, who took video footage for me. I have to
transfer the tape and edit it, but should have that done in the next
few days.

LORD SINCALIR/HARVARD FILLY
This is Bijoux, our 2 1/2 month old Lord
Sinclair/Harvard filly. She is a very good mover, one that
sits and trots instinctively. And she is the sweetest, easy to
handle foal you could imagine. I had always heard great things about
the temperaments of the Lord Sinclair's, and this filly confirms
those reports. She is offered for sale and will be a super flashy,
uncomlicated ladies horse.
Should mature about 16. 1 1/2 16.2.

|
HOFRAT/DONNERHALL FILLY
This is La Violetta at three months of age. We are
very pleased with both our Hofrat/Donnerhall crosses this year. This
filly is a very nice mover, well put together, with super
amateur friendly temperament. She already looks like an upper level
prospect.

LAST FOAL FOAL OF THE YEAR
Please welcome out FIFTH filly
of the year! The only colt this year was a Rohdiamont
bred in Germany and imported in-utero.
This leggy beauty is by Sir Donnerhall out of our Espri/Lemon
xx/Trapper mare Eclipse. This filly has exceeded all my
expectations from this cross. Eclipse is a powerful mover, but needs
a stallion to add some refinement and length of leg.....well this
filly has that plus some. Now all we need is a name!
|

ROHDIAMONT COLT

Rohdiamont colt at 10 weeks. He is handsome and a very good
mover...quite the package.

HOFRAT/DONNERHALL FILLY #2
This is our second
Hofrat/Donnerhall filly pictured at three weeks old. She is very
much like the first(ET) filly but more refined and a little hotter!
She is quite the acrobat, very curious and sensitive. Her full
sister is totally uncomplicated and very laid back. It is fun to
have full siblings of the same sex three weeks apart. There are as
many similarities as there are differences.

LOWARA AT RAELIGH
Raleigh was Lowara's first
Horse Show and what a show she had. Lowara(Londonderry/Weltmeyer)
won her Material Class with a score of 81%. She was incredibly cool
about the whole showing "thing". Raleigh was probably not the best
place to take a horse that had never been to a show before, but she
handled the situation extremely well and we are so proud of her and
her talented rider Ulla Petersen. These two will be a pair to be
reckoned with in the future. |

|
STEINWAY AT RALEIGH
This is Steinway (Sandro
Hit/Rubinstein) on his way to winning his First Level II Test with a
score of 71.3%. His score was one of the highest during the three
day show in Raleigh at the Capital Dressage Classic. Stein also
placed third in the FEI Four Year Old Test, and is qualified for
Kentucky in September. He was also a perfect gentlemen the
whole show and behaved more like a 14 year old than a 4 year old at
his second show. |

|
STEINWAY MORVEN PARK
Steinway(Sandro
Hit/Rubinstein) competed in the Four Year Old FEI Class at Morven
Park this weekend earning a 8.2 in his Preliminary Class and an 7.52
in the Final. This score ranks Steinway 6th in the US for 2008. This
was Steinway first show under saddle and we were thrilled with his
performance. |
|

|
SAFIRE AT MORVEN PARK
Safire(Sandro Hit/Donnerhall) had a wonderful first show
April 12
and 13 at Morven Park.
She competed in the FEI Five Year Old Test earning a
score of 7.54. This score places her in 13th position in the
US for 2008.
Her next show will be in Raleigh the end of May.
Huge congratulations to her rider Ulla Petersen for
steering Safire through the test so beautifully!

DE LOVELY
We are thrilled to now have our Brilliant Ring SPA
Dormello/Rubinstein/Grundstein II mare in the US!
De Lovely has been in training in Germany for the last two years
with Grand Prix rider Peter Martins. She will continue her under
saddle career here in the US with our rider Ulla Petersen. De
Lovely will be my riding horse. I may try an ET with her next month
but am having a difficult time deciding on a stallion. Right now I
am thinking of using the Jazz son Wynton(Jazz/Matador
II/Rubinstein). |

STEINWAY
Our coming four year old Sandro Hit/Rubinstein

FIDERLINE
Fidertanz/Harvard filly at 19 months. We had a 70 degree day in
February so decided to get the field of coming two year old fillies
bathed and cleaned up for a few photos. All of them are June/July
babies so are still growthy and high behind. It was still great fun
to see how them go.. Fiderline is the tallest of the three. She
moves very much like my coming two year old Fidertanz gelding. They
are elastic with very good freedom through the shoulder. Both also
have extremely good walks.

|
BISCAYA
This is not the most flattering photo of the is
Johnson/Argentinus filly at 18 months. She is furry and a bit chunky
right now, but boy can she move. She has three very good gaits and
is cute and sweet as can be.

|
FLOSSIE UNDER SADDLE
This is our coming three year
old (Florencio/Lady's King/Thymian xx) mare. And this is her second
day in the riding arena and first canter under saddle. Flossie has
been super to start and has three extravagant gaits. I think I will
let her pursue a riding career for now, though it is so tempting to
breed her. She is very closely related to
Fackeltanz (Florencio/Feinbrand/Thymian xx)
who was the third placed stallion in the Oldenburg Licensing this
year.

|
SAATCHI
Samarant/Espri/Lemon xx filly
at 18 months.
This filly is so much like her Espri dam but in a chestnut coat.
Saatchi has her dam's quick and powerful hind leg and good reach and
freedom of shoulder. Her dam Eclipse was an overall 8 at her Mare
Book inspection in Germany, so to have reproduced a " mini Eclipse"
is fine with me.

LALIQUE AND LUCY
'S 1ST BIRTHDAY
These are the now
yearling ET fillies out of my Donnerhall/Pik Bube mare. They were
born in February of 2007 a day and a half apart. I have had more fun
watching these two girls grow. Lalique(pictured) is a clone of
Stedinger and Lucy(by Samarant) is a clone of her dam. I am thrilled
with them both. Both are very good movers and neither have a shy
bone in their bodies.

MARAMARA
Please welcome our newest arrival. This is Marmara a
Licotus/Landadel/Alme Star filly. She was purchased this summer in
Germany.
This photo is from her first day on the farm.
I am in love with this filly! She has a wonderful disposition and
"big" expressive gaits. She is put together beautifully as is our
other Licotus filly. Licotus has certainly stamped his topline on
both of our girls.

Florencio out of a Feiner Stern/Akzent II/ Futuro mare.

FEDERER

ROYAL FLASH AT DEVON
I am so proud of this six month old colt! We took a chance
taking him to Devon...his first Horse Show.... and he didn't
disappoint! Flash was a super star! He loved being at the show and
walked around the grounds like a seasoned pro.
Flash was a star in the show ring. He placed 3rd in a very large
class of 30+ 2007 Colts.....and he was the only one in the call
back arena without a dam!
Flash also placed 2nd in the Hanoverian Two
Year Old and Under IBC Class. Highlights were an 8.2 for his
walk, an 8.8 for his trot and an 8 for general impression!
Congratulations to his owner Peter Mertins.

|
FLOSSIE AT DEVON
This is our two year old
Florencio/Lady's King Filly. She too had a great show at Devon.
Flossie was 10th in a very large and very competitive Fillies of
2005 Class, 6th in the USDF Breeder's Championship series and 6th in
the Oldenburg IBC Class. Flossie is a real "people horse" and had
the best time being fussed over. |

|
FIDERLINE
Fiderline(FIdertanz/Harvard)
had a super show week at Devon. She was 2nd in the
Fillies of 2006
Class with a 83.4. Comments from judge Hilda Gurney included,
"Well made; good feet and legs, nice big joints, nice saddle
position, well muscled. Hilda gave Fiderline an 8.7 for her walk "
Exceptionally long and very elastic", an 8.5 for her trot "
Extremely free with good reach" and an 8.4 for general impression.
Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled with these comments!
Fiderline placed 2nd in the USDF Breeder's
Championship Series and 2nd in the
Oldenburg IBC class with a 81.1...one tenth of a point out of first.
|
|

|
BISACAYA AT DEVON
This is our Johnson/Argentinus filly being judged by Hilda
Gurney. Biscaya placed 4th in the Fillies
of 2006 Class with an 81.5. Highlights
were an 8.2 for walk and an 8.4 for trot.
Biscaya was 3rd in the USDF Filly Championship
Class, and 4th in the
Oldenburg GOV IBC Class. Biscaya had comments on every
score sheet for being well mannered. She is SO laid back at Breed
Shows that it is difficult to get her excited enough to show her
true ability. Biscaya has one breath taking trot when she
runs free.
We were honored to have had three fillies
in the top six places in the USDF Breeder's Championship Series.

LICOTUS FILLY
This head shot was so lovely, I wanted to share it. This is
our now two year old Licotus/Quo Vadis/Furioso/Admiral filly.
Apple has a beautiful top line and a powerful hind leg to go
with this pretty face. I have great hopes for her as a producer for
the farm.

SABATI
Our two year old Sandro Hit/Rubinstein gelding. Sabati is
full brother to Steinway. We have equally high hopes for this
wonderful boy.

|
FLORENZIO
Our two year old Florencio/Lady's King filly won the
fillies of 2005 at the Fair Hill Breed Show. She had the high score
of the day for the open classes with an 83.2. Judge's comments were:
"showing balance and power yet light and ballerina like
movement.....especially supple through body"
We were thrilled! |

DE LOVELY WINS IN GERMANY !
Big congratulations are owed to Peter Mertins, and his
Bereiter Eva Steinbach.
De Lovely (Dormello x
Durella (Rubinstein I)) ridden by Eva Steinbach was fantastic
yesterday winning her 'Dressurpferde A' Young Horse test in Perl-Finz,
Germany at the Reitanlage Birkenhof.
Herr Mertins who is a Grand
Prix rider, and has trained a number of horses to Grand Prix himself
has been training De Lovely in his regular program, but has also
been taking her down for sessions with Ulrike Stadelmeyer, the
trainer of Jonegger's Weyden (Bronze Medalist in the 1996 Olympic
Games), Palladio, Corinth, and two other horses that have made
international teams with different riders. Frau Stadelmeyer
and her father, Fritz Stahlecker developed the method known in
Germany as "Hand Saddle Hand".
Yesterday, the young Bereiter,
Eva Steinbach, who has been training under Herr Mertins for the past
8 years took De Lovely into a large class of 15 horses from Germany
and Luxembourg. The competition was stiff, but Eva and De Lovely
performed beautifully and won the class.
A Huge thanks to Stephanie Law for
the photo and the report.
Peter Mertins is the proud owner of our very special colt Royal
Flash. Flash is a very lucky boy to have been selected by Peter as
his future Dressage prospect.

ROYAL FLASH
I wanted to share a short video clip of this stunning colt
at his recent AHS inspection. He was one point shy of top colt. The
inspection at High Point was a great one as usual. 18 foals were
presented, and there was not a bad one in the bunch. We are
expecting a Quaterback foal from his dam Lowara ( Londonderry/Weltmeyer
) next year. I can't wait to see that one move!

FEDERER
This is our Fidertanz/Rubinstein colt at one year.
I have made recent video of him and put it on the Sales page. Even
in this awkward growth stage, he remains elastic and scopy. He is a
gem to handle.

|
FIDERLINE
This is out Fidertanz/Harvard yearling filly. She
is a more elegant model by Fidertanz. She may have a little bit
better trot than Federer, but he wins in the canter department. It
is a tie for the walk. Both have big ground covering walks.
Fiderline is a keeper for the broodmare band. |

SOPHIE
This is my daughter's mare
Sophie. She is an Anglo/Trakehner mare by the lovely stallion
Herzzauber. Sophie will join the broodmare band this year.
She is a very good mover in all three gaits, and has been so much
fun to ride. Her bloodlines and beautiful type will provide us with
many breeding options in the years to come. |

WYETH CF
This lovely chestnut gelding
(Worldly/Espri/Lemon xx) is available for sale. He is going to
be one super horse under saddle. He has a quick hind leg, good knee
action, nice ground covering, jumped through canter and a very level
head. The first group of Worldly's are just getting started under
saddle, and the reports I have heard have been very favorable.
Please see more on Wyeth on his sales page.

BISCAYA
This super filly was just

Johnson(Jazz/Flemmingh/Sultan) out of an SPS
Argentinus/Goldstern dam. Johnson received a total score of 8.63 at
his 30 day test in Vechta. He was 2005 Champion of the KWPN
approvals. The dam line of this filly is the Oldenburg mare line of
Belisa, known for the Olympic silver medal winner, Tansanit, and the
star Stallions Stedinger,
Donninger, Lamar, Waldsee,
Armangnac and Andrew. |

 |
APPLE AT DEVON
This is our yearling filly by
Licotus, who also had a super show at Devon. It was Apple's first
breed show, and first time off the farm. She handled the commotion
of the show grounds very well. Apple was 5th in her Class of Two
Year Old Fillies. It was a class of 37 entries! She was 8th in the
GOV IBC Class, beating out a couple very nice stallion entries in
the field. She received nice comments for being a good "model" and
correct in the legs. |

LOWARA AT DEVON
Lowara had a super three days
at Devon last week. She was 7th in her Three Year Old Fillies class,
and won the Hanoverian IBC Class for Three Year Olds an Over with a
score of 84.4 % !
Lowara is in foal to Rotspon

classes in 2007.

SAATCHI
Three month old filly by
Samarant out of Eclipse(
Espri/Lemmon xx/Trapper). You could not have asked for a
prettier filly. She has three nice gaits, and was commented on

has her dam's powerful hind leg, which gives good suspension to her
gaits.

FEDERER AT HIS GOV
INSPECTION
We are proud to announce our
under three week old colt earned a premium at the German
Oldenburg Verband inspection held at High Point Hanoverians. It was
a wonderful inspection, with a great group of mares and foals. Big
thanks to Angela Barilar for hosting us once again.
Federer received a special
mention for his "enormous walk". He also showed an elastic and
ground covering trot. The judges commented that with a few more
weeks development, we would be shocked by his movement.

SAATCHI ONE MONTH
Saatchi is developing into a
very fancy young lady. She has a powerful hind leg , courtesy of her

Video below is at four weeks of age.

FEDERER
Please welcome our newest
arrival. This is a Fidertanz colt out of our Rubinstein mare Rosalea.
He is wonderful, but not what I had expected! He was taller at birth
than both my Sandro Hit colt's from this same mare. I think this one
takes after Florestan more than Fidertanz. Just watch the walk on
the video. Definitely a Florestan walk! Video is at 8 days of age.

FIDERTANZ
This is a photo of the stallion
Fidertanz(Fidernark/Ravallo), the Westphalian licensing champion of
2005. I went to visit him at the Kathmann stallion station in
Germany, and he is even more impressive in person. I think
Federer bears a striking resemblance to his sire! Below is a short
video of Fidertanz in hand form April of 2006.

LOWARA
AT THE FAIR HILL BREED SHOW
Our
beautiful two year old Londonderry/Weltmeyer filly had an incredible
first showing this weekend! She won her two year old fillies class
with a 83.4% from judge Jos Severins.
Lowara went on to win the Young Horse Championship, the Mare
Championship, and finally the Grand Championship of the
show. We look forward to taking her to Devon in September. Special
thanks to Klaus Schengber for his super handling skills!

DE LOVELY
AT RASTEDE
This is our beautiful mare De Lovely, a
Dormello/Rubinstein/Grundstein II cross. She qualified for
the Brilliant Ring in Rastede on June 11th. 2005. About four hundred
three and four year old mares from the Oldenburg region were
presented for inspection this year. Of those four hundred, two
hundred and fifty are asked to go to the performance testing. From
that group, 100 are asked to Rastede. To make it to the Brilliant
Ring, a mare must place in the top twenty-four of that group of one
hundred. A Brilliant Ring placement is quite an accomplishment
for this mare!
