ABOUT ROUBAIX CF

2008 Rohdiamant/Lamentos/Tin Rocco stallion Licensed with the German Oldenburg Verband. (Now gelded, and available only frozen semen)

Roubaix was one of the youngest approved stallion sons of the successful Grand Prix and breeding sire Rohdiamant.   Rohdiamant, a foundation sire in breeding, passed away in 2011 at the age of 21. Rohdiamant left behind some 50 licensed stallions, impressive States Premium mares and more importantly more than 100 offspring competing at S –Level; simply an outstanding record of producing riding horses for the top levels of sport.

Roubaix’s dam Tanzpuppe, descends from the Oldenburg mare family of Weissena. This mare family is responsible for the Olympic mare Weihigold and has been a consistent supplier of stallion sons for breeding: Canaster, Vivaldi, Lord Liberty G and Statesman to name a few.

I purchased Roubaix's dam Tanzpuppe at the 2006 Oldenburg Summer Auction. Was searching for a mare with some jumping blood to breed back to Dressage stallions. Bred Tanzpuppe to Rohdiamant in the summer of 2007 and imported her later that year. Roubaix was born in April 2008. He was a special foal from the beginning. Beautifully conformed, with three quality gaits and the walk being outstanding. We decided for Roubaix to remain a colt. He was the type stallion I was attracted too for use on my own mares, so sought approval from the German Oldenburg Verband in 2012. Roubaix completed his stallion testing in 2012. Roubaix has sired five foals to date. Two special premium colts bred by us, and three Premium foals.

Roubaix is currently competing PSG with Anna Rae-Sue Keenan, and qualified for our Regional Finals October 2018.
